Individual and Dyadic Supervision
I offer supportive individual clinical supervision to students, new graduates, RP (Q)s, RPs and other mental health professionals in Canada. Working collaboratively with my supervisees to strengthen and grow in their clinical skills and knowledge has been one of my most enjoyable professional focuses. It is so rewarding to see my supervisees develop self confidence in their clinical skills, and find their unique style and ways of working in therapy.
Clinical supervision can be an opportunity for clinicians to increase self-awareness, increase competency and clinical skills, help you feel less “stuck” in your work, and reduce feelings of overwhelm or isolation. As a clinical supervisor, I take a person-centered and strength-based perspective, and I work from an integrated model of supervision. I am guided by the values and assumptions contained within solution focused counselling while utilizing strategies and techniques from various modalities (such as CBT, DBT, EFT, psychodynamic therapy and narrative therapy).
I have over 12 years of extensive experience as a Clinical Supervisor working with students and therapists. My experience also includes providing clinical supervision for 7 years at a counselling walk-in clinic in Durham. In this role I consulted and managed risk with every case that walked into the clinic. I have completed all the requirements as a Clinical Supervisor for the CRPO which includes a 30-hour Clinical Supervision Training Program through The Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CICAPP) and The Canadian Association of Psychoanalytic Child Therapists (CAPCT).
In individual supervision, supervisees will meet with me one-on-one for a 50 minute session.
Rate for individual supervision: $160 + HST / session
In dyadic supervision, two supervisees will meet with me for a 50 minute session.
Rate for dyadic supervision: $90 + HST / session (per clinician)
All sessions are being offered virtually by phone or using Zoom.
Note: 50 minute sessions are considered 1 clinical hour.

Group Supervision
Group Supervision is a great opportunity for new and experienced clinicians to connect with and learn from each other. It is an opportunity to share, learn and discover different perspectives and ways of working in therapy with other skilled therapists. The safe and collaborative space created in these groups allows for attendees to share personal experiences and explore general questions regarding ethics and procedural practices in therapy. Those clinicians working in private practice may find comfort and connection in participating in group supervision as it helps to create a social network and can challenge the loneliness and isolation some clinicians in private practice feel. Financially this can be a more affordable option for some, especially for those looking to accumulate the supervision hours the CRPO requires for clinicians to reach independent practice status.
I run a relaxed and supportive learning group environment with encouragement for each clinician to openly share their thoughts, ideas or feedback, ask case related questions, and ask general therapy questions.
In group supervision, supervisees will meet with me in a group of 3-8 therapists for a 90 minute session once a month. Supervisees are asked to commit to a group cycle (which usually consists of anywhere between 4-6 sessions). This helps to maintain group cohesion and encourage rapport and connection among group members.
Rate for group supervision: $70 + HST / session (invoiced by the block/cycle)
All sessions are being offered virtually using Zoom.
